can auto text entry include a table and a database?

A table, yes, definitely.

As for a database, an AutoText entry can contain anything that you can
create or embed in a Word document. For instance, if you use Insert > Object
From File to place an Access (*.mdb) file in a Word document, you can
select it and press Alt+F3 to create an AutoText entry from it.

I'd advise against it, though, as database files tend to be large and you
wouldn't want to burden your Normal.dot template with that. However, you can
go through the Insert > AutoText > AutoText dialog and change the Look In
box to save the entry in another template.
