Try this. Find the file "Normal.dot". You should find
it with this string:
C:Windows\Application Data\Microsoft\Templates\Normal.dot

Right click on that file and rename it "Normal.back"
Now double click on the file you just renamed and it will
open up Word and recreate another "Normal.dot" file that
is not corrupt automatically for you.

Now go back into the Templates folder and you will see the
now file "Normal.dot". You can now delete the other file
that you renamed "Normal.back".

That should do it for you. Usually the blank document
file that opens up Word gets corrupted and that is the
culprit not low memory.
