How do I install Microsoft Office when the program won't accept the
productkey on my CD case?

Exactly what does the error message say? If your computer came with a trial
version of Office 2003 preinstalled on the hard drive by the computer
manufacturer, then you should uninstall the trial version before installing
your full version. See http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=836178 "You
receive an 'invalid product key' error message when you start an Office 2003
program after you install Office Professional Edition 2003" and
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=842566 "'This is an invalid CD Key value'
error message when you try to install Microsoft Office" for some possible
solutions.

1. Lose the caps, it is rude, considered shouting and will get you flamed
by some folks who have no time for assistance.

2. Put in the CD drive the softward CD you used the last time to install
your upgrade. If you no longer have the qualifying product CD, you do not
have a valid license to use the upgrade.

After furious head scratching, Nanette asked:
