Microsoft Office 2007

I downloaded Beta 2 and it was painfully slow - I was able to get 2003 back
up and running again, but liked the feaures in 2007. Is there a newer version
out since the Beta 2 - would like to try again...

Nope, Beta 2 is the latest and greatest as far as that goes. You'll probably
have to wait until next spring for the ready-for-primetime version.

There will be an update (Beta 2 Technical Refresh) sometime before RTM
(Release to Manufacturing). A specific date has not been announced, but I
would imagine it will be available in the next few weeks. I also don't know
if it's been announced if the TR will be available to public Beta Preview
participants or not. (I'm guessing it will, though.)

Public availability hasn't been announced. There are news stories that
speculate it will be publically available based on some MS blog entries,
but nothing official.
