Microsoft office access is unable to connect to the data source

Hi all..

I am new to Data Access Pages in MS Access. I have Access 2003.
When I try to create a new DAP using the wizard I am getting the following
message
"The wizard is unable to create your data access page"..

When I click field list under DAP design view nothing shows up. It shows
unplugged for Database(X in red color a plug). When I right click and select
refresh i get the following msg
"Microsoft office access is unable to connect to the data source specified
in the connection string of this page"
