Microsoft office and virus scanner how to

B

Boris

I would greatly appreciate if anyone can suggest a way to divorce my office
and my virus scanner: every time office starts it requests virus scans. I
guess it scans all the installed macros (like Pdfmaker) and it definetly
scans all the documents I open. This is a bit annoying and definitly useless
- sometimes I open the same document several times a day without even using
Internet, so there is no way any virus would appear. However, I can't find an
option or setting that will instruct the office not to use virus scanning.

Thanks in advance,
Boris.

Hi Boris,

The link is established from the Virus Scanner software.
If you're using Norton, for example, use the Miscellaneous
category setting to disable the Office Plugin.
