Microsoft Office Document Imaging

I recieved several images that were processed in Microsoft Office Document
Imaging. How do I save them to background on my desktop?
Also how do I save them as another type of file? The only two options in the
drop down box is Tagged image file format and Microsoft Document inaging
format. Are the images "Locked" in some way or what?
Thanks,

MS Office Document Imaging only works with TIFF documents. The MS .MDI file type is a MS derivation of the TIF standard.

You can copy the pages into some graphics programs if your graphics program can't open a TIFF graphic and then convert it, but the
..MDI has only one reader that I've seen outside of MS Office Document Imaging (MODI). MODI is an optional installation item
available only in Office 2003 and Office 2007.

Thanks, Just before I read your reply I figured out that I could export the
images into Microsoft Picture Manager and doing so change them to Jpeg and
that worked
great. I wasn't aware of what the "exprort" function did, now I do.
Thanks for your reply.
