Microsoft Office Groove has Stopped Working

J

Jonathan

I can't be the only one ever in the history of anyone to have this problem
occur.

Windows Vista | Office Enterprise Groove 2007

I cannot start Groove. I get the Groove splash, then an immediate crash:

Faulting application GROOVE.EXE, version 12.0.6211.1000, time stamp
0x46d4b5ed, faulting module kernel32.dll, version 6.0.6001.18000, time stamp
0x4791a76d, exception code 0xe0000002, fault offset 0x000442eb, process id
0x1034, application start time 0x01c95bcd9c300c6c.

All I have to say is WTF, and if someone has solved this problem (I have the
latest updates and service packs) please let us know what the solution is.

Hi Jonathon -

A quick look reveals that "fault offset 0x000442eb" happens to a lot of
different applications with no one cause.

Normally if Groove has a problem it fails prior to displaying the splash
screen.

I'd do a health check on your PC (check disks and memory), and if that
doesn't work, uninstall and then re-install Groove.

Please let us know if that helps!
