i just bought microsoft 2007 about 2 days ago, i was wondering when it said
three computers. does it mean it will work only 3 times? like if i recover my
laptop and erase all the information, and have to use the disc a second time.
will i only have 1 use left or will it still count as my first?

You may install it on three computers. Each reinstall on the same computer
counts as a re-install, not a new install. It also depends on how often you
need to reinstall. If less than a certain amount of time (I think it is 180
days), you may need to use the telephone activation method.

That is three computers at one time. If Kevin uninstalls Office from one of
the three computers, he may install it on a new computer immediately, but as
you say he may have to use telephone activation.
