microsoft office program isn't recognizing my keyboard

Stupid question but:

Have you tried rebooting your PC (as step one)
Have you tried doing a repair install (aka detect & repair - step 2).

If they dont work try unistall and reinstall of office..
Hopefully step1 and 2 should help.. it's probably a corrupt file somewhere.
