Microsoft Office Project Professional 2003 & PWA - Task Stuck

Good afternoon. I'm attempting to administer Microsoft Office Project 2003
Professional edition. The problem that I have is I have is a project manager
deleted someone from a task in a project in Microsoft Project Professional
2003 - I think the person that they deleted might have been deactivated at
the time. Anyway, somehow I have an out of sync state where the person is
delete from project professional, but when I view the resources for the
individual in PWA, the task is still out there. I tried re-adding the person
to the task in Project Professional, but it just adds another duplicate task
out there for them. Any idea how to get rid of this hung task?

Thanks in advance,

To clarify your teminology a bit, you are looking at a "Resource
Assignment" view in PWA for said resource, correct? Does the assignment have
a big, script "X" in the far left-hand column? If so, this is an indicator
for a "deleted" assignment.

In brief, you will get a NEW assignment record if a resource is deleted
from a task, then added back. There is a way to completely remove deleted
assignments on the resources Tasksheet page.

Hey - thanks for responding. I'm still kinda new to this. Yes - I'm looking
at resource assignments view in PWA for the resource that was deleted from
the task. However, it doesn't show up with the "X" as a deleted task. I
went and tried to recreate what the Project manager did by re-addding the
person to the task, saving, republishing and then deleting and when I do
this, I get the "X" by the task.

Thanks!
Laura
