microsoft office shortcut bar

My Microsoft Office Shortcut Bar has all of a sudden
changed its appearance. All of the programs are still in
the right spot, however the icons have all shifted one
space to the right. I need to know how to correct the
issue without uninstalling and reinstalling Office because
I've already done that and it didn't solve the problem.

Looking forward to your expert advice.

Rick,
I know this will sound weird...but I had a problem with the icons all suddenly
becoming the same yet the proper programs started when an icon was clicked. The
only way I could find to reassociate them correctly was to select "delete" from
the button tab of the customize menu(right-click the little Windows logo at the
right end of the shortcut bar) and when the confirmation box came up, choose
NOT TO DELETE the icon. As I went down the list and did this for each entry the
correct icons returned. Can't promise it'll work for you, and have no clue why
it did for me<G>, but the problem sounds similar(improper association of the
icons)

John

John,

Thanks for the advice. I just loaded up my toolbar to
perform the tasks that you described and by some miracle
the toolbar is correct again. That is the weirdest thing,
but I'm going to remember your technique if I ever get the
improper associations of icons issue again.

Thanks again for sharing,

Rick
