Microsoft Office vs. Macintosh Office

Do Microsoft Office and Macintosh Office have the same
functions. I don't believe Microsoft Office can be
installed on a Macintosh computer. Is this true? Also,
if someone works on a Macintosh Office program at home
but works on a Microsoft Office program at work, are the
functions the same? In other words, can a person learn
Excel on a Macintosh and the functions will be the same
as on a Microsoft Windows PC?

Thank you.

Microsoft Office for Macintosh runs on the Mac - there's nothing I know
of called "Macintosh Office".

The worksheet functions in Mac Excel 98, Excel 2001 and Excel v.X are
essentially identical to Windows Excel 97, Excel 2000, Excel 2002, and
Excel 2003.

VBA is at version 5.0, which is equivalent to WinXL97.
