Microsoft Office will not let me activate on line

My beta continues to stop working and freezing up??? Is it supposed to stop
totally? I can get a doc open, but I'm not allowed to do anything else. If
I right click on the document, the index shows only "translate".

I have the 2007 Microsoft Beta and the Outlook Beta. They both do the same
thing and keep asking for the "Product number'. Because it is a beta, I
don't have one. I cannot make changes and can only open previously created
docs and print them.

I've tried to download several times and re-loaded the software, to no
avail. Although I got the software when there was no charge, I've even
downloaded and paid!! Help!!

Eventually it will only act as a viewer. And that will undoubtedly happen
when you need it most. You *must* activate it. If you're having problems,
then you need to post what those problems are.

I'm a neophyte. I can't get a newly purchased copy of Microsoft Office to
let me activate the program. Will this keep me from using the product? I
have Microsoft Windows XP. I need to use the word processor and Excel to
complete club news-letters.
