I have just tried to install office 2000 on to XP. 2
different computers actually. For some reason it wont
recognize the install disk, but will let me install other
programs like tools and publisher but not word. Is this
software still compatible with XP???
Thanks
Kit

Yes it is compatible. Probably your disk is knackered.

Is this an OEM version of Office 2000? If so, you are not licensed to
install it on any computer other than the one it came installed on.

Install it a few more times. I'm sure you have valid licences for all these
installs?
