I have six systems 3 laptops 3 desktops. The desktops have MS Office Pro and
the laptops have Office standard. They need to be reversed what is the best
way of changing the product keys and re registering them correctly.

Since you are changing editions, the only option that I see is to
uninstall and reinstall.

Correct but how do I get the product key off the existing systems because all
I have is the media, it was not a box product...

Did those products come with the computers? If so it is very possible
you can't move them. OEM products have limitations and I believe most if
not all are limited to the machine they come with. You need to contact the
computer manufacturer to find out what version they loaded on the machines
and if the license allows you to use it on a different machine.

The key should have been supplied, UNLESS you have an OEM installation
and it is a preload. In that case there is no "moving" allowed, the
installation lives and dies with the first machine.
