Microsoft Outlook 2007 crashed - cannot reinstall

I have been using Microsoft Outlook 2007 for 1 1/2 years (Microsoft Office
2007 Professional Plus). It crashed this morning. I put my disc in and
tried to repair (have done this a couple of times before, and it fixed the
problem without losing any saved data/emails). Today, it completely deleted
Outlook. I tried to reinstall, but now a red X displays on the Microsft
Outlook "button" in installation and it says it is not available. Of course,
unless I pay a fortune, I cannot access Microsoft Help online or by e-mail.
Any suggestions?

Reinstgalling Outlook is probably not a good solution for fixing crashes.

Click the red X and change it to "Run from My Computer" to reinstall Outlook.

Clicking the red X only gives me the statement that it is "not available". I
cannot change to "run from my computer".

Uninstall Office completely and also verify that no other version of Outlook
(or preferably no other Office version at all) are installed. Then install
Office 2007 again and verify that Outlook is selected to be installed.
