Microsoft Outlook 2007

I have Microsoft Outlook 2007 installed on my new Toshiba laptop with Vista
Home Premium installed. Have configured my pop3 account to work with my gmail
account properly, the problem I am having is that I am able to receive emails
and when I attempt to send it shows completed and my emails remain in the
OUTBOX..if I check in the SENT folder there will be nothing showing as sent.
I have setup my account properly because I am using the same Outlook on my
other PC which has XP installed and there are no issues. Can anyone help
please?

Tnx

And if you use the "Test Account Settings" button, what does that come up
with?

MATT:
I have used the correct SMTP setting, please note that I am using Outlook
Express on my second PC which has XP installed on it and it is working
fine...all settings have been double checked and are correct.

When I use the "TEST ACCOUNT BUTTON" it completes both receive and send test
and I will get a test email message, this is the strange part that I am
confused about.

Ladies and Gentlemen:

I have the same issue using Outlook, hotmail, and
XP and it gets worse with attachments. The e-mail goes to the outbox,
sometimes it gets sent, sometimes not......and worse, sometimes it gets sent
50 times. I never had this issues with office 2003.

Can someone please help. Or tell me how to get a refund and then I will
reinstall 2003?
