Microsoft Outlook Formatting Question

I am trying to send out a flyer. I designed it first in Office 2007 using
their template. When I copied and pasted, all looked fine. When I sent it, it
reformatted itself and everything went everywhere, not looking anything like
what I saw before I sent it. Then I took out the template and used shapes
from microsoft outlook. All looked fine before I sent it, but when it was
sent all of the shapes from office went to the top of the page and then all
of the text went to the bottom.

format of the page was suppose to look like:

text, text,text,text,text,text,text Vertical green bar
text, text,text,text,text,text,text Vertical green bar
text, text,text,text,text,text,text Vertical green bar
text, text,text,text,text,text,text Vertical green bar
text, text,text,text,text,text,text Vertical green bar


After it was sent it looked like

Vertical green bar

I guess my question is, how do I send an email so when it is sent it will
look like the one before it was sent (if that makes any sense).
