Microsoft Outlook Newsreader Office 2000 Hyperlink Search Any way to turn it off?

When I download a message in parts, especially with yenc encoding, Outlook
begins a hyperlink search on the message. If I don't get the parts combined
and saved really fast, this search will slow or almost stop the combining
and saving of the message. Outlook Express also has this same problem. Any
help appreciated.

"Outlook Express also has this same problem." Well this is because you are
actually using Outlook Express to read news; Outlook isn't a newsreader but
uses OE for this.

For support on this it's better to repost your question in an OE newsgroup.

Good Luck!

An aside: since OE doesn't decode yEnc, you must have a proxy for it.

You can get a newsreader line Xnews than decodes yEnc and automatically
combines multipart messages, make it the Outlook newsreader (via Internet
Options>Programs) and you may find things more manageable, since Xnews won't
scan for links that way.
