Hello DAW,

Likely the fastest way is to click on the column heading Task Name to select
all tasks. Choose Project > Task Information on the menu and on the Advanced
tab, select Fixed Unit or Fixed Work. Click OK to close the dialog and apply
the change.

I hope this helps. Let us know how you get along.

Hi,

Two possibilities:

1. Select all tasks, click the Task Information icon on the toolbar; in
advanced set the new task type.
Note that summary tasks are always fixed duration.

2. Insert the column "Type". Set tehd esired type for the first non-summary
task. Now drag this value to teh bottom of the list, or select the column
frm there and Ctrl+D (copy down)

Insert the column "Type". Set the first non-summary task to "fixed duration".
Now drag this value (hover over the bottom right corner until + sign appears) to the bottom of the list and let go.

Jan De Messemaeker - awesome, thank you.

Set the default task type to "Fixed Duration"
In Project 2013 select File > Options > Schedule
Change "Default task type" to "Fixed Duration". OK

JulieS - this will make all future tasks "Fixed Duration". Thank you.
