Happy Holidays!

I am hoping that someone here can help. I am working with
2003 publisher, and I am wanting to print some
personalized address labels.

The labels that I bought at the store are Avery 18660, it
says to use Avery 8160 software layout to print. The
trouble is that publisher 2003 does not have this
layout,and I cannot get the adjusting right in printer
properties to do my labels.

What I am wating to know, is if someone knows of a
microsoft download, that had addtional label layouts.

Or if someone knows how to adjust this just right for the
8160 layout on here.

Thank you for any responses.
God Bless & Happy Holidays!
Vanessa

Hi JL Amerson ([email protected]),

|| Did you happen to compare the size of an 8160 label to a 5160 label?
|| They are the same size label.
||
|| It seems the difference between them is that the 5xxx series are for
|| laser printers and the 8xxx series are for inkjet printers.
|| Apparently the 18660 labels are clear labels for inkjets. (All it
|| took was a little search on Avery's site and a little Googling to

Excellent research Joann! I'm impressed!

However, my copy of Microsoft Office Publisher 2003 DOES have the Avery 8160
listed ;-)

Hi JL Amerson ([email protected]),

|| I'll confess. Although I have 2003 and I did install it last week. I
|| haven't played with it at all. Plus I've never done a mail merge in
|| Publisher. I've only ever made labels in Word. Are there any reasons
|| why I should (or should not) use Publisher instead? The biggest
|| disadvantage I can see is that not many people in the organization I
|| belong to have Publisher.

Word's advantage is that it has still yet more label choices (Publisher is
catching up) and you can choose to easily print a single label and choose
it's location on the label page. Publisher still FAILS in this area with
flying colors.
