Microsoft Sync: double address entries

H

Henk

Hi,

I'm using OSX sync servcies & Microsoft Sync with a fair bit of
success. THere is however 1 issue: the process causes to duplicate all
addresses (Street, ZIP, City, country) in OSX Addressbook. For all
addresses: work & private if available.
So I end up with many cards with double private and double work
address in OSX Addressbook, however in Entourage addressbook
everything is normal.

Does anyone has a clue how to solve this?
It seems to me mis match of mapping of fields between OSX AddressBook
& Entourage address book.

Yeah, I've seen the same thing on my Mac too :-\
That's really an issue.
You also end up with contact duplications if you use middle-names in
the System address book.

I cleaned it all up manually and I haven't seen the duplications come
back recently :-\

Corentin,

Txs for your reply, the first step is to see that more people share
the same nasty issues.
I modified a few by hand, but I haven't noticed that those enteries
become 'immumemume' for address duplication going forward.

I haven't encoutered the middle name issue, but I don't use that
field.
The work around I do is: switch Mic sync off after a sync. When
swithcing back on I choose for overwrite Entourage (OSX AB is my
leading source). Basically a one way sync, unfort. not offered by Mic
Sync Service.
Some improvement needed there!

Txs again
