How can I get rid of the Microsoft update virus? I am running the latest
Norton Antivirus software but I keep getting the email. Any help?

Its Spam, that contains a virus. Assuming yr AV detects it simply Delete
them.
As to stop the Spam, sign up to a domain that provides built in spam
filters. Install a third party spam filtering app. Disguise yr email add.
when posting. Ensure those you email have a Firewall installed and a current
AV app. and their o/s is updated with the critical patches.

Not sure what virus you're talking about. You're getting an e-mail that
claims to be from Microsoft, containing a virus?

If that's so, you must realize it's not from Microsoft. It's being
propagated the way all viruses are propagated. Keeping your virus checker
up to date, and scanning your workstation regularly are the best ways to
stay protected (and not using your real e-mail address in newsgroup posts
will help limit the number spam and viruses you may receive).

If you have further questions about virus protection, you'll probably have
better luck contacting the Norton folks.
