Microsoft Visual Basic License information not found

Every time I open a new or existing worksheet in Excel 2003 I get the
following popup error for Microsoft Visual Basic: "License information for
this component not found. You do not have an appropriate license to use this
functionality in the design environment." When I click "OK" I get another
message for MVB "ActiveX component can't create object." I am not a developer
and have not knowingly used MVB. How can I get rid of this annoyance? It
seems I have somehow changed a setting somewhere without knowing it.

You have probably loaded an addin or a workbook which uses a control that does
not come with a default Office installation.

See the tips here to troubleshoot your problem:

Jan,

Outstanding suggestion ... I followed the link and the problem is resolved
.... although there is a flicker of the worksheet on startup I get no more
annoying messages.

Thanks
