When you log onto windows, you can set up user profiles (administrator,
guest, kids, etc.). I deleted a profile I set up for the kids on windows.
Thats when my trouble with word started

Ok, after you removed the profile and the trouble started, did you
re-install Office while you were logged in with administrator permissions?

yes.

Then I wonder if something wrong with your profile. As a check, create
another account with administrator permissions and see if Office
applications work there.

Ok. I have corrected my user profile issue. Now when I Reinstall Word and
then click on the icon to open it it says that word needs to be installed.

You created a new Account/profile to try this? Or are you still
attempting this in the original profile. Is it not seen in the new Profile?

If it still gives issues in the new profile. Download and run the
Microsoft installer cleanup found at the link below to remove Office,
and then install Office.
