Microsoft Word 2003 Standardizing Picture Size Question

Hi,

I'm at work and need to insert pictures into a word document. I understand
how to insert the pictures themselves and how to resize them, but my question
is how do I set it so that each time I insert a photo, they are set at a
standard size? The photos are digital, so they are inserted at a large size
and I want to make it so that each time I enter a photo, it is already set to
be resized the correct amount (I think 30% would work).

A quick response would be lovely! :)

There is no stock feature in Word to enable that... Perhaps it can be
handled with VBA, but the best policy is to edit the images using a capable
graphics program first. Set them to the appropriate resolution, print
dimensions as well as any other editing required & save in an appropriate
image file format before they're inserted into the document.

FYI - shrinking raster images by 70% (even 1/2 that amount) in a program not
designed & equipped for the purpose most likely will deteriorate the
fidelity of the image - perhaps beyond recognition.

Clip Art & drawn shapes are a totally different type of graphic which
"stretch" very nicely, but photographs are a totally different matter.
