In word is there any way to "crop" AROUND something Circular, rather then
in a box or lines?

You probably need to do this in a photo editing application, but if you just
want to insert a circular picture in a circular frame, that's easy. Draw a
circle (or ellipse) of the desired size. Then use your picture as fill:
click on the arrow next to the Fill Color button on the Drawing toolbar,
select Fill Effects, display the Picture tab, and browse to find your
picture.
