"Microsoft Word is not working"

That is the message I have been receiving for a few weeks now whenever
I try to use Word 2007. Doesn't matter whether I'm trying to open an
existing document or attachment or to create a new one. I am not using
a trial version. I purchased Microsoft Office Home and Student 2007
last May. Best Buy installed it on my new computer at that time. My
anti-virus and anti-spyware sweeps are up to date. I have run all the
Microsoft updates, have tried repairing from the control panel and
have uninstalled and reinstalled from my Office cd. Nothing works. My
computer is still under warranty so I can ask Best Buy to run
diagnostics but it seems like a software glitch. Any ideas?

I doubt that you got a respnse from MS. They don't give a damn

I have the same problem and despite many emails, phone calls and requests for
help I've received NOTHING. No apologies, no explanations, nothing. I was
even told that as I'd bought it online there was no way I could be helped
because I didn't have a back up CD. A complete waste of money!!!! And on top
of that I've spent hours trying to contact a real live human being who speaks
English and can help. Result, Zilch, nada, nothing. I feel as though I've
been ripped off with no right of reply and I cannot write a decent letter
without losing patient. Microsoft, you stink, big time

So what happened Jo? Did Microstuff give you an answer or just laugh all the
way to the bank? They don't really give a damn which is why they sell the
product through a third party. Good luck, I'm still struggling

What use is all of this to an ordinary user who just wants to buy a product,
connect and write? is it really too much to ask that if we part with good
money, we will have something useful that works immediately. How do these
cretins get away with daylight robbery? why are they so difficult to contact?
Why is it not simple to complain? If I did my job in the same way, I'd be
fired!!!!I am an ordinary man without a degree in computer studies or
obfuscation and I'm going mad!!!! I'm mad as hell that I am treated with
contempt by this company. Six weeks without satisfaction, without a reply,
treated as though I'm mad for expecting something to work,
aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaagh!!!

: Come on Microsoft, there must be a simple answer to this
problem and even if there isn't a simple answer, we paid good money and our
product doesn't work. Why on earth should we have to sort it out? YOU
SHOULD!!!! Damn you for your arrogance

Hell: what a lame bit of reasoning. GM sell their products through a third
party. They definitely don't give a hoot about customers.
