I have "windows me" and microsoft word 2002. When i go to
the start menu and click to expand it at the top is a list
for expplorer, open word document new as well as old etc.
When I try to open a new word document from this place
nothing happens I am sent back to my desk top. I can go to
start, programs, microsoft word and open a new document
there but not from the shortcut at the top of the start
drop down box. in doing a ctrl-alt-del, I find the
message "OSA is not responding" i think this has a direct
link to my problem. can any one tell me how to fix this
error message and open a document from the shortcut on the
start menu?

Sincerely:

Dillon

Try reregistering Word in Windows by using Start>Run and typing in

winword /r

and pressing enter. Nothing will seem to happen but the Word registration
should refresh itself and then all should work OK.
