Microsoft Works 7.0 - highlighting text

Sunil

I find Microsoft works much different than the Microsoft word

- How do I highlight text (not the paragraph) in a document?
- If I send a file (say, file.wps) which is in Microsoft works format to a
person using Microsoft word (version 2000 or earlier), can he/she open this
file?
- If I want to install Microsoft word, is it possible? where do I download
it from? link please. I think Works does not have Index and galleries option
in word. true?

Many thanks.

Single word-double click on the word. Longer passages,
click at the start, then scroll to the end, hold down the
Shift key and click at the end.

Depends on your definition of "earlier." Word 2003 will be
able to open it.

You can't download it. You must buy the product. It is
available as a standalone product or as a part of MS Office.

link please.

No link.

I think Works does not have Index and galleries option

You can download the latest version of Office for free from
http://www.openoffice.org.
