Can someone please advise what my problem might be. I have numerous word
processing type files saved under My Documents. I have a correspondance file
saved there that is larger than all the others. I've been using this file
with no problems for years. Suddenly after using the file recently I can no
longer open the file. The error states that the file may already be open,
which it isn't, it may no longer be supported by any of the installed
converters, or the file may be corrupt. How do I determine which of these has
happened and correct it? I am totally lost as every piece of correspondence
I've sent is in that file. Dumb I know, but it's too late to fix that now.

How large is that file? Have you rebooting the computer since you have
had a problem? (I am not suggesting rebooting if you have not.) What
program (Word?) created the file and what version of that program. What
operating system? How large is the file?
