Hi,

1. I had use mid function that works in certain pc only but not everyone of
them.

2. I had check all versions to be of Access 2000 (9.0.2720)

3. Why it happens, did I forgot to set up something ?

For starters, you forgot to apply the service packs.

Access 2000 without any service packs was one of the most unstable versions
of Access ever to leave Redmond (after A95.) RUN (don't walk!) to apply SP3
for Office 2000. You can download it from:
http://support.microsoft.com/sp/

While you are there, make sure you get The JET 4 Database Engine update as
well, and apply it to all machines.

Then check that your references are a) valid and b) consistent across your
machines. For more on references, see:

2.Actually I delete away the 'Missing...' from Tools>Reference, and so far
its fine as yet.

Likely that won't be necessary unless the machines have never
connected to Windows Update.

Great: the immediate problem was with references.

FWIW, I'd still be running to get the service packs. And yes: they're a free
download.

Dear David,

Yes you are right its all updated, just curious though I had schedule for all
company computers to get updated during lunch time. Will there by chance
anything miss updated ?

As I was thinking that even if previously it was missed following day or
weeks still get to update right?

Well, it depends on how updated the machines. In general, big
updates, like a Windows service pack, are not installed
automatically, and a Windows service pack is usually a blocking
condition for certain updates.

That said, I'm pretty sure WinXP SP2 and later have Jet 4 SP6 or
later, which is all you need in order to be safe using Access.
