Midi files in Powerpoint 2003

Hi - can you insert a Mini file into a Powerpoint slide please? I am trying
to do this via Insert Sound from File , but get an error message saying that
Powerpoint cannot insert sound from selected file. I always thought Midi
was OK?

No , you cant embed midi files but you can embed wav files. But
you need to convert them to wav .

Just convert your midi files to wav . These links will help you :

You should be able to insert a MIDI into PPT without receiving an error.

Assuming this happens with all MIDI files, the only thing I can think is
that your MCI Media Player settings are messed up. See
