I need some assistance. I have found multiple ways in migrating Word 2003
AutoCorrect formatted Entries into Word 2007. The problem that I am facing
is that a client is trying to go back to using Word 2003 with the new
AutoCorrect entries that wee made in Word 2007. Can anyone help.

There is an AutoCorrect.zip file for Word 2003 and earlier that you can
download from
http://www.word.mvps.org/FAQs/Customization/ExportAutocorrect.htm.

The corresponding file AutoCorrect2007.zip for Word 2007 is at
http://jay-freedman.info/.

Download both files and unzip them into the %appdata%\Microsoft\Templates
folder (if the two versions of Word are on different computers, put the
appropriate one on each computer). The unzipped template for 2003 has a .dot
extension, while the one for 2007 has a .dotm extension.

Run Word 2007 and create a new document based on AutoCorrect.dotm. Click the
Backup button and let it run the macro to create a document containing all
the AutoCorrect entries (both formatted and unformatted). When the Save
dialog appears, choose to save it in Word 97-2003 format.

Copy that document to the Word 2003 computer (if they're different). Run
Word 2003 and create a new document based on AutoCorrect.dot. Click the
Restore button to run the macro. When the Open dialog appears, select the
document you created in Word 2007. All the entries the document contains
will be added to (or will overwrite) the entries in Word 2003.

This also opens the possibility of editing the document before it's
"restored". For example, names of people or companies can be changed,
entries can be added -- and much more quickly than through the usual dialog
if there are many entries to add -- and you could delete entries from the
document if you don't want them carried over. (Note that the macros won't
remove any entries from the destination computer; the process is strictly
additive.)
