Migrate permissions

We are preparing to Migrate from Project Server 2003 to Project Server 2007.
We want to create new Categories and Permissions Groups at this time and
don't want any existing permissions given to individuals to migrate during
this process. Is there a way to 'cleanse' the existing secuirty during the
migration process?

All the permissions come over during the migration, you don't have a choice.
You could do one of the following though....

1. Cleanse the permissions before hand
2. Delete the migrated groups on the target system after migration.

Ben, Thanks for your response. Do you know of a way to remove any
permissions that are overriding check marks spcific to an individual rather
than being inherited from a group?

Ben, Thanks for your response. Do you know of a way to remove any

I have found the fastest way to do this is to create a template with
all permissions blank: nothing checked. Then the tedious part: go into
each user and apply this template. This should at least save some
point and clicking.

I think James has the answer. My recommendation to all my clients is to
NEVER apply permissions at a user level.

Thanks again. That is our standard as well, but sometimes it is done over
the years without knowing how/why.
