Migrating from Outlook/Mac to Entourage 2004

I'm writing to learn what is the best way to migrate a computer from Outlook
2001 on an Exchange server to Entourage 2004 (latest release) with same
server? I ideally would like to be able to import saved messages from
Outlook to Entourage.

Let me add one observation...

It seems everyone has discussed going from Outlook everything to Entourage.
The situation here is very straightforward so perhaps the solution is.

Macintosh G4 running OS 9.2 and Outlook 2001 talking to a company Exchange
server.
Upgrading to OS X 10.4 with Entourage 2004. Primary concern is locally saved
messages in Outlook that need to be successfully copied into Entourage.

Last time I tried this (18 months ago) it was a total bust. I could not find
a way to get the mail copied from saved Outlook mail folders into Entourage.

It's now time to convert two more Outlook Macs and I pray to G-d someone has
written software for migrating saved messages. Has Microsoft added this? How
about a third party?

If you have access to Outlook 2001's .pst files, you should be able to use
Microsoft's free PST Import Tool to get that data into Entourage 2004.

Or if you have enough room on your Exchange server (or you can talk your
Exchange admin into temporarily removing the quota), you can simply drag
all your messages in Outlook 2001 to a mail folder located under the
Exchange account to copy the messages back to the server. Then user
Entourage to reconnect and redownload.
