If I had to guess, it looks like you may have fatfingered the name of one
of the 4 databases when provisioning the PWA site. It needs all four to
be existing and from the same environment. From the error message, it looks
like it's trying to create 1 and restore 3 (or 2 and 2, can't tell). You
might also get this if you just created one of the databases in SQL without
having exported it from the original instance.

Thanks Andrew,

Basically when we trying to use the Backup & restore operations for project
server Databases on Sql Server, We change the collation of DBs as per
recommendid by best practices.
Now we tried 2 different combination.

1) use the database which collations were changed .
Result is same.Provisiong failed.

2) Use the databases without collation changed
Result: we sucessfully created the instance and everything is working fine.

But we want to use the 1st combination as we want to implement it.

Please guide me accordingly.

Thanks

Well, that's a different question. Recommend you post it back on the newsgroup
with the topic "Changing collation on Project Server databases"

Might get some better answers.
