Milestone Completion

I have 4 tasks in a plan where task 4 is a milestone w/ a zero hour work
value and zero day duration.
Task 4 is a successor to tasks 1-3.
When I update tasks 1-3 to 100% complete task 4 does not update to 100%
complete.

Any idea why????

Hello projectserverdragon,

You'll need to mark the milestone as 100% complete manually. Just
because a task is a successor to another task, it does not inherit %
complete from it's predecessor. Only summary tasks will go to 100%
complete upon the completion of all subtasks.

Is it possible to have several independent tasks be predecessors to a
milestone, and have the milestone automatically reflect the % complete.

For example
milestone #1 (predecessors 1,5,9) 35% complete (Automatically updated if the
tasks change)
task 1 40% complete
task 5 20% complete
task 9 10% complete

Hello Connie,

No, sorry. The only tasks whose percentage complete are changed by
other tasks percentage complete are summary tasks. Percentage
complete of predecessors does not impact percentage complete of
successor tasks.
