Milestone filter with no milestones defined

Dear all,

I have several project files, which have no milestones explicitly defined
(bad idea, but anyhow). However, when I select the "Milestones" filter, I
get a list of activities, which MS Project selects. They are clearly
summarized under a summary task 'Milestones: No'.

Does anybody know, under which conditions tasks are listed here? It seems
mostly like either work=0 or cost=0, but I found some, where is no obvious
tag like that.

I get this "Milestones:no" list even if there are milestones defined. Is
there a way to turn that off?

Thanks in advance,

Riko

You can edit your filter so that it does not show the summary tasks (note
that if you do not, then the summary task shows even if the summary task
itself does not fit the criteria),

Go to Project menu, filtered for, choose your filter and hit edit, then make
sure the include summary tasks box is not checked.

Note also that any 0 duration task is considered a milestone whether you
define it as one or not.
