Min/Max a Word document and they vanish

Word 2002 SP2, Windows 2000 Professional SP4

Intermittent but can be reproduced.

When a Word document is minized or maximized, all open Word
documents disappear. When reopened, the autosave offers
what it has but of course the latest entries were not
saved. It also asked, (when saving the doc), to save the
Normal.dot file. Have to continue the Ctrl+S after entries.

Any ideas?
