Minus sign in Sum

How do I get rid of the minus sign in my sums on a
report. Would I just put a minus sign in front of the Sum

ie; =-Sum([amount])

This works but seems to be poor coding

It is a little cryptic, but it is fast. Maybe you'd like
=Abs(Sum(amount))
a little more, even it takes serveral more nanoseconds.

Since Sum and negation distribute, you could also use:
=Sum(-amount)

Personally, i think its a don't care, but others have their
own preferences.
