I don't understand these guys. Me, I have all the installation disks,
driver disks and application disks for every, I mean every, software
product I have ever bought, every video card, every computer and every fax
machine, with the Product Keys written down in a separate notebook. I've
thrown away most of the packaging, but Case Logic makes these neat leather
covered books that hold 72 CDs or DVDs apiece.
You'd have to be a moron to throw away the disks that came with your
computer.

Exactly..."maybe" they will take note and do it in the future....maybe?
Yeah, right. If the OP lost his installation disks what makes you
think the person backs up the hard drive on the computer!
This is simple....just use your last image or clone before your friend
deleted Word!
I know it may not have sounded nice but I was being straight with you.
It's not your friend's fault you lost the disks. Sooner or later you
will be getting a new computer and you'll have to buy Word all over
again. Your friend just made that happen sooner instead of later.
(BTW - I'd have told my best friend the same thing.)

advice jo.

Tell your friend to pay 50% of a new copy. It's his fault for
uninstalling
it and it's your fault you lost the disks. You cannot download it.
