Mirror contents of Column

J

John Harris

Hi,
I don't know if this is possible but here goes!

What I would like to do is split a page into three columns, type in the
first column and have the contents of that column automatically replicated
in the other two. I am writing up a flyer type of thing and would like to
save a bit of effort if possible.

Anyway, if anyone can help me....:)

TIA

Hi, John,

You have a choice of using Format > Columns (for newspaper-style
columns) or Table > Insert, choose 3 columns and 1 row, and use Format
Borders and Shading to set the borders to None. I think it will be
less hassle overall to use the table... Either way, continue as
follows.

Type the text (and graphics if you want) in the first column. (If
you're doing newspaper columns, end with a column break,
Ctrl+Shift+Enter.)

Select the whole first column, go to Insert > Bookmark, and enter a
name.

In the second column, insert a REF field that contains the name of the
bookmark. Repeat the same field in the third column.

Thanks Jay! Easy when you know how.
