Misbehaving Tab

Excel 2003

Using the tab button brings me to the very end of a row instead of to the
next cell. Any ideas on what happened to my tab button and I can fix it?

Select Tools >> Options. On the Transition tab, uncheck "Transition
navigation keys", then click OK.
