Missing buttons in Task Assignment

I assign a task. It goes to the assignee via email. In their inbox it shows
as an email instead as a task. The accept/decline buttons are nowhere to be
found. Please advise...

Are yuo sending it as Rich Text?

You need to send your tasks in Rich Text.
