Missing cab file during Office 2003 Professional Instillation

Andy

I have Office Small Business XP 2002 on my computer and added Publisher From
Office XP I wanted to upgrade to Office Professional 2003. I have a volume
distribution DC with registered Product key. I have attempted to upgread,
totally remove the existing program, and do a de novo instillation and I
continually get the following error: missing yo561409.cab file. I have
googled this and found one poor other individual with the same problem but no
resolution. If you have one please email me directly at (e-mail address removed)

thankd

Hi,
I had the same problem while installing Office 2003 Professional
Edition on one of my PCs. I also found that the same CD installed
Office properly, without any problems, other computers and hence,
assumed that the CD drive was not working properly. I cleaned up the CD
drive and reinstalled successfully! Try this out. Also, try cleaning
the CD-ROM, and try a flat install (copy files onto the hard drive and
install from the drive location). Good luck!
