missing drawings

I just opened my almost totally done report (which, incidentally, is due
tomorrow) and bad things are happening. I have 8 figures in the drawing, all
done on drawing canvases. Four are inside tables, and they are fine. The
other four are empty. I can still select the figure, the captions are there,
but it's not a drawing canvas anymore, and there's absolutely nothing inside.
It's all GONE. What. the. hell.

Anyone know how to fix this? I do I just re-do the drawings and never use
word again?

Try this Cecille,
Drag your mouse across the drawing, holding down the left key. Be sure to
grab the outside corner of one side. Your drawing may be inside a frame. If
so, check to see if there is a fill in the frame. It could be filled with
white and be in front of your drawing.
