Missing e-mail messages

P

Patrick

Some of my messages do not download into Outlook 2003.
For example it says: "downloading messages 9 of 9" but only 7 are shown in
Outlook. The other 2 are nowhere to be found.
If I check my e-mail through my web server BEFORE opening Outlook, all the
messages are there, but once I opened Outlook there is always 1 or 2
messages that disappeared!
Any idea why this is happening?
TIA
Patrick

If I were in your shoes, in order to diagnose what may be happening, I'd
first view the subjects of the mail via web, writing them down. I'd then
download them with Outlook and note which appear to me missing. I'd then
use Find and search for one of the missing subjects. If Find locates it, it
should display what folder it's in. If it's in Inbox, then a filter or view
is causing it to be hidden or Inbox isn't being sorted on the Received
column. If it's in another folder, then a rule must be moving it.
