Missing Edit button in Powerpoint 2000

I have all of the stanrard buttons for the PowerPoint 2000
File, View, Insert, Format, Tools, Slide Show, Windows,
and Help. But do not have the "Edit" button. Can anyone
help to reveal the Edit button?

Try right-clicking on the toolbar area and selecting "Customize". Click the
"Toolbars" TAB, highlight the "Menu Bar" toolbar, and click the "Reset"
button. Holler back if that doesn't fix it.
